Why I hate Tuedays

Far be it from me to be start whinging on my very second post but hey that's what this blog's here for. For as long as I can remember I've hated Tuesdays. I sure I'm not alone in my genuine distaste or this nothingness of a day. At school it was always the day after Monday with double maths in the morning and so far away from the weekend, it felt like being stranded in the middle of a big empty room with no windows and only one door with someone opening that door, throwing in two deadly poisonous cobras (the double maths lesson), turning the light off smugly and locking the door shut. Nothing to look forward to but a whole lot of pain.

Now that I'm older Tuesdays have degenerated into work-related mid-week monotony. Mondays I can handle. Usually there's a lot to get on with, you can set an agenda for the week and it's over before you know it. But Tuesdays. It's like all that alcohol you consumed over the weekend, that 27th cigarette you smoked at 5 o'clock in the morning on sunday and all the sleep deprivation from a weekend spent partying way too hard catches up with you on steak-knife tuesday and hangs around like a very bad smell all day. You can't see the light of the forthcoming weekend through the clouds of desperation. You don't want to even say hello to any of your colleagues, let alone have to sit through a 3 hour meeting with them (and contribute) ...as I had to this morning. You so wish it was wednesday, thursday or friday so at least there was some hope, some good to look forward to. you stay suspended in this kind of miserable void where only the thought of the day being over and it being wednesday brings any solice.

The most depressing thing is when you find out your birthday falls on a tuesday. it kind of sets the tone for a very very bad year. (never check that on a calender!). The only time I find its ever acceptable to like tuesdays is when you have the whole week off and tuesday is just another day of holiday.

Anybody else hate this wrist-slitting chore of a day?

I have arrived

All American sports hero Johnny Quarterback has arrived. Hello all and greetings not from America or even anywhere close but from the land of the elephant somewhere in the south of africa in a throbbing metopolis of a city called johannesburg. Today is Monday 20th November. I've spent the last half hour setting up this blog.

Welcome my little blog to the blogosphere. I hope to see you fly...
