Its Friday and I am hanging like a one-armed koala bear. Went to the dirty south last night. I must say the other side of Joburg is a quite an experience. After showing our passports at the Booysens intersection me and some mates went to a lekker portugese restaurant called Calistos. Awesome awesome seafood. I gorged myself on mussels and prawns. I can highly recommend it if you looking for good inexpensive seafood in a wonderfully exotic location called turfontein. Apparently there's a racetrack there too.
Anyway, this hangover is evolving like a nasty little beastie boy inside me. Dear god make this day go by quickly so this weekend can start and we can all be happy little lambs gamboling in the sun, drinking, smoking laughing, dancing, getting fucked up! woooooooohooooo!

The dirty south always serves itself up for some entertainment. The few times that I've been there have always left me doubled-over in hysterics at a)die mense & b)at just how different it is to the rest of SA!
It's a winner I tell you! Kind of reminds me of Bellville...where rockspiders leave their shelter by day to come out & scare the little people away! Eew...

Woah - rockspiders? Bellville? Dirty South? I thought the blogosphere was supposed to be non-judgemental and welcoming.
Bellville has had some pretty good exports - such as the Nudies, Fokofpolisiekar, Minkie van der Westhuizen.
As for the dirty south - some of the best seafood I've ever had came out of the south and it reminded me of the coast.
kabintsimbi - I honestly haven't seen quite as many mullets in a while. the restaurant had a few pearlers
urk I love those sooooped up machines - nobody pimps their rides quite like the belville and benoni massive
benny I have to say the seafood was sublime. I will definitely be going back there.
